The Fire Department and the state Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating the cause of a fire that raged through the vacant house at 17 Cutter Drive early Sunday morning.
Stations 1, 3, 6 and 5 responded to the one alarm blaze, which was called in at 2:34 a.m., according to Deputy Fire Chief Stanley Eldridge. The Kingston Fire Department provided mutual aid, covering Station 2.
One firefighter was treated for minor injuries sustained in early morning blaze, which took 45 minutes to knock down and several hours to completely extinguish.
Damages were estimated at $100,00, according to Eldridge.
